Terms & Conditions
These are the terms that apply when you use the Hawkins Coffee website or buy from us. We've kept them as clear and straightforward as we can — no small print tricks. If anything doesn't make sense, just give us a call and we'll explain it properly.
Who we are
Hawkins Coffee is an independent coffee supplier based in the UK. When we say "we", "us", or "our" on this page, that's who we mean. When we say "you", we mean you — the person using our website or placing an order.
Using the website
You're welcome to browse the site, read about our coffees, and get in touch. We just ask that you use it sensibly — don't try to break it, copy it wholesale, or use it for anything dodgy. We do our best to keep everything on the site accurate and up to date, but if you spot something that doesn't look right, let us know.
Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you're making an offer to buy from us. We'll confirm your order by email — that's when the contract between us is formed. If there's a problem with your order (something's out of stock, a pricing error, anything like that), we'll get in touch to let you know and sort it out.
Prices and payment
All prices on the website include VAT unless we say otherwise. We do our best to keep prices accurate, but mistakes happen. If we spot a pricing error on your order, we'll contact you before processing it. Payment is taken at the time of ordering. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.
Delivery
We'll do our best to get your order to you by the date we've given, but delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. If there's going to be a delay, we'll let you know. Delivery is to mainland UK unless we've agreed otherwise. If you need delivery outside of this, give us a call and we'll see what we can do.
Returns and refunds
If something's not right with your order — damaged, wrong item, not what you expected — let us know and we'll sort it. We'd ask that you get in touch within 14 days of receiving your order so we can fix things quickly.
For business customers placing regular orders, we'll work with you on any issues as they come up. That's what we're here for.
Your statutory rights as a consumer aren't affected by anything on this page.
Equipment
If you've bought or leased equipment from us, any specific terms for that will be covered in a separate agreement. If you're not sure what terms apply, just ask.
Our responsibility
We stand behind what we sell, and we'll always try to put things right if something goes wrong. That said, we can't accept responsibility for things outside our control — like what happens to coffee after it's been delivered and stored, or losses that neither of us could reasonably have expected.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything we can't legally exclude — like personal injury caused by our negligence.
Your content
If you send us reviews, feedback, or any other content, you're giving us permission to use it (on our website, social media, that sort of thing). We won't share your personal details without your permission — see our Privacy Policy for the full picture on that.
Intellectual property
Everything on this website — the text, images, design, logos — belongs to Hawkins Coffee unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to share links, but please don't copy or reproduce our content without asking.
Changes to these terms
We might update these terms from time to time. If we make any significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Carry on using the site after a change and you're accepting the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If there's ever a dispute, we'd much rather sort it out over a phone call — but if it comes to it, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
Get in touch
Questions about any of this? Just ask. We'd rather explain things properly than hide behind legal wording.
