Description

Cafe Selva is our Fairtrade and Organic blend. Medium-dark roast, strength 4 out of 5.

The labels matter on this one. Fairtrade means the farmers get a fair price for their crop. Soil Association Organic accreditation means it has been grown without synthetic pesticides. Both certifications are independently audited, and we think it is worth supporting properly.

It also needs to taste good, otherwise nobody would order it. It does. Full-bodied, smooth, works well as espresso, holds up nicely in milk. The kind of cup most cafes can serve all day without anyone complaining.

Whole bean or ground. 250g or 1kg, with free UK delivery on every order.

Versatile brewing made simple

Brew Bold, Brew Balanced

Cafe Selva shines as an espresso or with milk, holding its character in lattes and cappuccinos. For a smoother, balanced cup, try it with filter brewing. Use fresh grounds and adjust grind size to match your method for the best results.

Our Story

Great Coffee Since 1978

Hawkins Coffee was established in 1978 by Richard Hawkins who started roasting coffee in Kingsbridge in the South of Devon. He was driven by a determination to get the best taste out of the best coffee beans. We took over the business in April 2001 and with the same determination and obsession with quality which has enabled us to grow the business from 5 tonnes to 45 tonnes of roasted coffee per year by the end of 2007.
