Description

Continental Blend is the dark roast for anyone who finds Milan a touch too easy-going. Strength 4 out of 5.

South American Arabica beans, roasted longer and darker. Plenty of body, plain chocolate notes, a bit of nuttiness, the kind of finish you would call roasted rather than fruity. Works well as espresso and holds its own in milk without disappearing into the foam.

A popular pick in cafes that want a second blend for stronger drinks, and at home with anyone who likes their coffee with proper backbone. If you want it darker still, Flying Scotsman is the next step up.

Whole bean or ground to your brewer. 250g or 1kg, with free UK delivery on every order.

Smooth, strong, and reliable

Rich Flavour, No Fuss

Continental Blend delivers a smooth, rich flavour with clear chocolate and nutty notes. Subtle hints of molasses and burnt caramel add depth without complicating the profile. It’s a straightforward, bold coffee that works well whether you take it black or with milk.

Rich Flavour, No Fuss

Strong coffee, simple method

Brew Bold, Brew Easy

For a rich, full-bodied cup, try brewing Continental Blend as an espresso or using a cafetiere. Its dark roast profile holds up well with milk, so feel free to enjoy it as a latte or cappuccino. Keep your grind consistent to get the best flavour every time.

Our Story

Great Coffee Since 1978

Hawkins Coffee was established in 1978 by Richard Hawkins who started roasting coffee in Kingsbridge in the South of Devon. He was driven by a determination to get the best taste out of the best coffee beans. We took over the business in April 2001 and with the same determination and obsession with quality which has enabled us to grow the business from 5 tonnes to 45 tonnes of roasted coffee per year by the end of 2007.
