Ground Coffee

Ground coffee from a UK roaster of 25 years. We roast and grind to order, so the ground coffee that arrives at your door was ground and packed the same day, not weeks ago in a warehouse.

Our full range is available ground, in 250g and 1kg bags. Tell us your brewer when you order and we will grind to suit it: espresso, filter, cafetiere, AeroPress or moka pot. If you are not sure which grind you need, give us a call and we will sort it.

Which grind for your brewer

• Coarse ground coffee: cafetiere and French press. See our cafetiere coffee.
• Medium: filter machines, pour over and AeroPress. See our filter coffee.
• Fine ground coffee: espresso machines, and a touch coarser for a moka pot. See our espresso coffee.

The best ground coffee for you

Most of our customers find a ground coffee they like and stick with it. Milan is the one most people come back for, smooth and full-bodied as an espresso or with milk. If you prefer something lighter, Breakfast Blend is a good place to start. For decaf, our Colombian Decaf actually tastes like coffee. For a strong, dark cup, Flying Scotsman or Continental Blend.

Ground coffee: your questions answered

Is pre ground coffee as good as whole bean?

Whole bean stays fresh for longer, so if you have a grinder it is worth using. But fresh ground coffee from a recent roast beats whole beans that have sat on a shelf for months. We cover it in more detail in whole bean vs pre-ground.

How long does ground coffee last?

It tastes best within two to three weeks of opening. Keep it in the bag, sealed, somewhere cool and dark. Our guide to storing coffee has the detail.

How much is delivery?

Free on UK orders over £50. Below that it is £4.50 for parcels under 2kg. Order by 12:00 and it goes out the same day.
